NHL Betting: Wild vs Bruins & Senators vs Blue Jackets – 03/16/22

There are four games on the schedule for tonight, and we will be covering two of them here, both of which should turn out to be close matchups.

Minnesota Wild (-115) vs Boston Bruins (-105)

The Minnesota Wild and the Boston Bruins are going in opposite directions as of late. The Bruins have been a dominant team, while the Wild have struggled to keep the puck out of their net and string together wins. The first and only matchup between these two teams this season went in favour of the Wild 3-2 in a close game at the beginning of January.

The Wild still hold a solid home record of 17-7-1 but are 1-4-0 in their past five games in their building. The Bruins are 8-1-1 in their past 10 and 6-1-0 in their past seven road games. They have the slight advantage when in comes to the odds, and it is worth it to jump on that, especially with Jeremy Swayman back in goal for the team.

Ottawa Senators (-135) vs Columbus Blue Jackets (+110)

The Columbus Blue Jackets provide great value for a team that is coming off consecutive wins against playoff teams in the west, the Wild and the Vegas Golden Knights. The Ottawa Senators on the other hand have struggled recently, losing two in a row and seven of nine.

Both teams are allowing a large number of goals against, so the over is likely the way to go if you want to add that to your bet slip (O6.5, +100). The Blue Jackets are still hanging around the playoff picture as the only team with any sort of chance at making a late-season push. Meanwhile, the Senators will once again be looking to next season.

The Blue Jackets have a negative record on the road, but the Senators have an even worse record at home. The way to go is picking the Blue Jackets on the money line where you have great value.
