NHL Betting: Sabres vs Predators & Oilers vs Blues – 4/01/22

The Buffalo Sabres host the Nashville Predators in what should be a tight game and later the Edmonton Oilers look to match a franchise-record home win streak against the St. Louis Blues.

Buffalo Sabres (+165) vs Nashville Predators (-200)

The Sabres continue to be a very hard team to play against of late; they have taken six of their past seven games to overtime and have lost three of their past four games. They are a good underdog against anyone but their true colours are beginning to show as they struggle to finish games.

The Predators have lost three of their previous four games on the road and won their lone game against the Anaheim Ducks who have lost 11 consecutive games. The Predators are riding a two-game win streak coming into this one despite that and look to take advantage of a team near the bottom of the standings. Roman Josi is the man to watch tonight like every night as he has recorded 81 points in 65 games this season. Take the better team in Nashville and the safe bet of the over (O6, -115).

Edmonton Oilers (-145) vs St. Louis Blues (+120)

The Oilers have looked nearly unstoppable at home on the stretch they’ve been on, winning eight in a row and closing in on their franchise record of nine. They can match that tonight with a win over the Blues who have been mediocre at best of late.

The Oilers have two massive offensive threats that will be looking to stay hot and on the scoresheet as every game is important down the stretch. Connor McDavid hit 100 points in a season for the fifth time in their previous game, while Leon Draisaitl has been going back and forth in the scoring race with Auston Matthews. Matthews just hit 50 last night so it’s Draisaitl’s turn to strike.

Despite taking down the Vancouver Canucks in consecutive games, the Oilers will be a much tougher task for the Blues who have won just five of their past 14 games. With how the Oilers offence has been going and still possessing one of the worst goaltender tandems in the NHL, expect this game to be high scoring and hit the over (O6.5, -125) but the victory to go to the home team in the Oilers.
