NHL Betting: Jets vs Golden Knights & Flames vs Sharks – 03/22/22

There are two Western Conference matchups that are part of the big slate of games tonight, starting with the Winnipeg Jets hoping to climb closer to a playoff spot over the Vegas Golden Knights and the Calgary Flames ready to dominate the San Jose Sharks at home.

Winnipeg Jets (-135) vs Vegas Golden Knights (+110)

The Jets are favoured here and for good reason. It almost seems like the Golden Knights have no energy when they’re on the ice. They are riddled with injuries and have no starting goaltender right now. Now there’s a whole mess with the Evgenii Dadonov trade to further make it difficult to turn things around.

The Golden Knights are on the second game of a back-to-back, only making it less likely they will come into the game with some life. The Jets are hot on their trail and have a solid home record compared to the Golden Knights’ road record, which is just over .500.

The Jets made some moves to shuffle their roster around a bit, trading Andrew Copp but bringing back Mason Appleton and acquiring Zach Sanford. They should still be a competitive team and push for a playoff spot until the very end. This game is a huge one for both teams but the Jets have the advantage of winning three of the past four games and taking the first two games in the season series. Take the Jets and the over (O6, -115).

Calgary Flames (-275) vs San Jose Sharks (+225)

The Flames are still a top team in the league and one of the best since the start of February, but they have had a difficult time stringing together more than a couple of wins in a row over the past number of games. This matchup at home where they have been exceptionally good should play in their favour as they are now a deep team and the Sharks have gotten a little weaker after the trade deadline.

The Sharks have lost one of their most consistent defencemen in Jacob Middleton but brought in help in net in the form of Kaapo Kahkonen. The Flames are still a really good team defensively, while the Sharks’ games have been all over the place in terms of consistency scoring. Expect this game to be lower scoring and hit the under (U6, -120) with the Flames dominating.
