The best player props for the Game 4 matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames as the series continues in Edmonton with the Oilers leading 2-1.
Connor McDavid – Points (Over 1.5, -167)
This should be one of the easiest best you can make, and there’s a reason why the odds are what they are. Connor McDavid has recorded nine multi-point games through 10 playoff games so far. A 90 percent success rate in betting for these odds couldn’t be better.
He has recorded 23 points in 10 games and has elevated his game to a whole new level, which many didn’t think was possible. He is playing on a line with Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane, so there’s very little any team can do to shut that trio down. Look for McDavid to surge with more points as he plays nearly half the game each night.
Evander Kane – Anytime Goal-Scorer (+130)
Nobody has been able to put the puck in the back of the net this postseason like Kane. He has 10 goals in 10 games and his goal-scoring presence finally appeared in Game 3 when he scored a second-period natural hat trick. With McDavid and Draisaitl on his line, two of the best passers in the NHL, most of his goals don’t take a ton of work.
Kane scored one tap-in and two open feeds across the slot that caught Jacob Markstrom going the other way. Both McDavid and Draisaitl can create the open space and easily feed Kane for many more goals. Look for that to continue in Game 4 as Jay Woodcroft would be crazy to split up that line with how they’re rolling.
Johnny Gaudreau – Assists (Over 0.5, -128)
Johnny Gaudreau is the Flames’ leading scorer and tied for fourth in playoff scoring with Kane and a few others. He has five assists in this second-round series and was held off the scoresheet last game, so look for him to bounce back.
Despite being a 40-goal scorer, Gaudreau excels in playmaking and recorded 75 assists during the regular season. He also has 11 assists in 10 playoff games this season, so a value like this is good and should be taken advantage of.
