NHL Betting: Kings vs Oilers Player Props – Bouchard, McDavid, Moore – 05/10/22

The best player props for the Game 5 matchup between the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings as the series shifts back to Edmonton.

Evan Bouchard – Points (Over 0.5, +120)

Evan Bouchard is tied for the most assists in this series with Connor McDavid at five. Bouchard has continued to show his offensive skill, which was evident throughout the regular season. What’s more impressive is he’s doing it on the second pairing and more so at even strength.

He does play on the second power-play unit and has picked up two assists there, but the top unit gets the majority of the time. Bouchard always seems in on the action offensively when one of the Oilers’ lines has the Kings pinned in their zone. He is constantly able to get good shots through when bodies are in front of the net. With Evander Kane and other members of the Oilers ready for tip-ins, Bouchard has been able to notch those assists.

Connor McDavid – Anytime Goal-Scorer (Over 0.5, +120)

McDavid is tied for the lead in points in the series with his linemate Kane. He and the Oilers were held off the scoresheet last game despite their best efforts to get a puck by Jonathan Quick. As the series shifts back to Edmonton, the Oilers have the advantage of their home crowd and dominant play at home.

Expect a major pushback and the Oilers to come out firing. This charge will most likely see McDavid at the forefront and it’s about time he adds some more goals to this series. In more desperate times, we often see him take control of the game and take the puck himself with his speed and quick release. If you’re very confident, you can also bet McDavid to score the first goal or the game (+700) for very good odds.

Trevor Moore – Points (Over 0.5, +100)

Trevor Moore has been the most consistent and best player for the Kings to this point. He leads the team in points and is tied for the lead in goals with both of his linemates Phillip Danault and new addition Carl Grundstrom. The shuffling of lines worked to the Kings’ favour as the second line provided three more even-strength goals.

Moore was in on two of them, adding a goal and an assist to push his totals to five points in four games. The second line continues to be the only productive one, and with their effort, the Oilers have yet to find an answer to that. Look for Moore and that line to produce more offence at five-on-five in Game 5.
