NHL Betting: Flames vs Stars Game 6 Player Props – 05/13/2022

The Calgary Flames have finally found some offense and have pushed the Dallas Stars to the brink of elimination. The series moves back to Texas for Game 6, where the teams have split the first two games of the series. This betting guide offers some of the higher value play prop bets for Friday’s Game 6.

Elias Lindholm Anytime Goal Scorer (+170)

Elias Lindholm leads the Flames in goals in this series and has been in the middle of just about everything Calgary has driven offensively. He scored in both of the previous games played in Dallas and has notched at least one point in every game except for Game 2. He’s coming off a career year of 42 goals and 40 assists and has kept that going in the playoffs.

The top line for the Flames was great all season and they’ve been the reason Calgary is on the brink of finishing this series. With the second round just one win away, expect a heavy dose of this top line in Game 6. The Flames have been racking up a lot of shots, and Lindholm has been sharp. There’s good value in his odds to score a goal as the Flames look to clinch the series.

Mikael Backlund Shots (Over 2.5, -105)

He’s been flying under the radar a little due to a pair of good goalies and Calgary’s top line, but Mikael Backlund has been a pretty solid player throughout this series. Backlund has two goals and an assist, all in the last two games. He only scored 39 points in the regular season but was fourth on the team in shots on goal with 214.

He’s continued his steady output of shots in the playoffs, and bettors should expect that trend to continue in Friday’s crucial Game 6. He’s tallied at least three shots on goal in every game of this series and has only seen his ice time improve each of the last three games. Take a good look at his number, because getting at least three shots from Backlund (-110) looks to be one of the higher value player props on the board.

Roope Hintz Shots (Over 2.5, -110)

This series has been a struggle for Roope Hintz from a scoring standpoint. He only has a goal and an assist in the five games, but both points came at home. Hintz has been much better in the games in Dallas compared to those on the road, and that’s a trend that has continued from his career-best regular season. He scored 41 of his 72 points on home ice in 2021-22.

Hintz totaled seven shots on target in the two previous home games in this series: four in Game 3 and three more in Game 4. This is an elimination game for the Stars, and adding that to Hintz’s improved play at home, this looks like a good spot. He’s averaged around three shots per game at home all season, so getting his line at -110 is a decent play.
