NHL Betting: Avalanche vs Oilers Player Props – Makar, Hyman, Draisaitl – 06/02/22

The best player props for the Game 2 matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and the Edmonton Oilers as the series continues in Colorado.

Cale Makar – Assists (Over 0.5, -149) & Points (Over 0.5, -250)

Neither of these odds is particularly good, so we are going to take them both. There is a very good chance that if Cale Makar gets just a point in the game, it’s going to be an assist. His goals are generally scored in the same games as he racks up the points.

In Game 1 of this series, he scored a goal and two assists. Multiple points may not come every game for him, especially with how the Oilers have been able to bounce back in Game 2s. But most of the offence has run through Makar this playoffs, so it is a good bet to see him get on the scoresheet again.

Zach Hyman – Anytime Goal-Scorer (+145)

Just when you think Zach Hyman won’t score again, he continues to at least pot one goal in every game. His goal streak is at six games now after he scored in every game in the Calgary Flames series. His net-front presence on the power play and his tenacity to jam the puck in the net has paid off as he has scored more than one goal like that recently. He is up to nine goals in 13 postseason games, so it is once again a great bet to throw some money on him to score in a seventh consecutive game against what should be the Avalanche backup goaltender in net.

Leon Draisaitl – Points (Over 1.5, +120) & Assists (Over 0.5, -167)

Leon Draisaitl has gotten multiple points in six consecutive games and has points in nine straight. He has also managed to at least get an assist in all nine of those games. Both of these bets seem almost too easy as the odds should be much worse and closer to where Connor McDavid’s lines sit considering he has just one less goal and the same amount of assists as the Oilers’ captain.

Draisaitl has recorded three or more points in all five of the games last round and followed that up with two assists in Game 1. It seems almost impossible to keep him or his linemates off the scoresheet as he now has 21 assists and 28 points in 13 games. Look for him to record two-plus points and at least an assist pretty easily tonight.
