MLB Betting: White Sox vs Dodgers & Reds vs Diamondbacks – 06/08/22

In today’s MLB betting guide, the Los Angeles Dodgers visit the Chicago White Sox hoping to change their fortunes, while the Cincinnati Reds look to continue their upward trend against the slumping Arizona Diamondbacks.

Chicago White Sox (+150) vs Los Angeles Dodgers (-185)

This game between the White Sox and the Dodgers should turn out to be a great pitching matchup. Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers is enjoying a career year and proving to be a great starter for the powerhouse team. He has given the opponents little to nothing and is 6-0 on the season behind a stellar batting order. On the other side, Johnny Cueto was picked up mid-season by the White Sox and has impressed after they released Dallas Keuchel. Cueto has come in and provided solid pitching that he hasn’t experienced since his all-star season in 2016 despite a record of 0-2.

The White Sox come into this matchup having won three in a row, while the Dodgers are on a three-game losing streak despite both being 4-6 in their last 10. The Dodgers are the much better team on the road than the White Sox are at home and overall. They will be looking for a bounce-back behind a good pitcher. Take the Dodgers to win and the under (U8.5, -105).

Cincinnati Reds (-120) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (+100)

The Diamondbacks have fallen on tough times as they have lost four in a row to the Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates and are 3-7 in the last 10 games, while the Reds have picked up their game significantly from the beginning of the season. The bats are going and they have won two in a row led by the trio of Kyle Farmer, Brandon Drury, and Joey Votto all batting over .300 and hitting four home runs in the past two weeks.

Diamondbacks’ pitcher Merill Kelly, who is on the mound today, has regressed since earlier in the season. He is being chased out of games quicker and has given up three-plus earned runs in four of his past five starts. Though he is good at limiting the long ball, his walks are much too high and the Reds will be able to take advantage of that with how their batting order has been getting runs in any way they can. Mike Minor, the starting pitcher for the Reds, was lit up in his first appearance of the season, so he will be looking to bounce back and provide more than four innings of work this time around. Take the Reds as both Kelly and the Diamondbacks have struggled recently while taking the over (O9.5, -110).
