MLB Betting: Phillies vs Diamondbacks & Giants vs Dodgers – 06/10/22

In today’s MLB betting guide, the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, while very hot and the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers look to get back to their dominance.

Philadelphia Phillies (-135) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (+110)

The Phillies have now swept back-to-back series against the Los Angeles Angels and the Milwaukee Brewers and have very hot bats. They get a more favourable matchup against a Diamondbacks team that is 28-31 but it still won’t be easy. The Diamondbacks have won two games in a row while the Phillies look to extend their seven-game win streak with Kyle Gibson on the mound for them.

The Phillies have one of the best offenses in the MLB and despite the strong pitching matchup, we should see some home runs hit in the game considering the amount each team hits. The Phillies will be tested against the Diamondbacks’ ace Zac Gallen who has gotten some help from his defense but still sports good numbers. Gibson goes the other way in that his pitching hasn’t been helped by the defensive play of the team, so the matchup is actually a lot closer than it appears on the outside. Taking that into account and the roll the Phillies have been on, take them in this game as well as the over (O8.5, -115)) since it has hit in their games in 11 of the past 12.

San Francisco Giants (+120) vs Los Angeles Dodgers (-145)

The game between the Giants and Dodgers will be a good one as both teams try to get back to dominating. Neither has won more than five games in their last 10, but the Dodgers have won two in a row and are better on the road than they have been at home. The Giants have played better on the road as well as they are just 14-13 at home this season.

It will be a pitching matchup as Walker Buehler looks to rebound from two less than ideal starts in a row in which he gave up four of the seven home runs he’s allowed this season. The Giants’ starter Jakob Junis is ahead of Buehler in that regard as he’s had three solid outings in a row against better-than-average teams. As the first and third-ranked teams in runs scored, both are extremely dangerous, which should be tough for pitching. Look for lots of runs to be scored in this one and the over to hit (O8.5, -120), while the Dodgers should be able to extend their win streak to three.
