MLB Betting: Padres vs Diamondbacks & Dodgers vs Rockies – 06/28/2022

There’s a full slate of games in Major League Baseball on Tuesday, and there’s a lot of action in the National League West. The San Diego Padres take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Los Angeles Dodgers try to bounce back against the Colorado Rockies. This betting guide gives insight into some of the best bets for both of those games.

San Diego Padres (-115) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (-105)

The Padres have won six of the seven meetings between these teams this season, including a three-game sweep of the D’backs a week ago. Starters Sean Manaea for San Diego and Arizona’s Zac Gallen faced each other in their last starts, with the Padres eking out a 3-2 win on June 21. Gallen has been great at home, going 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA and 43 strikeouts over 42 innings pitched. This should be a tight game, but take the Padres (-115) to keep up their success against Arizona.

Both of these starters gave the opposition trouble the last time they faced each other, and both are pitching well. These under has gone 5-2 in the seven meetings between these teams this season, and this looks like another decent spot to play the under, even with the low total. Lean toward another low-scoring contest, and take the under (U7.5, -110) again in this one.

Los Angeles Dodgers (-225) vs Colorado Rockies (+180)

Dodgers starters Clayton Kershaw is in the midst of another good season with an even 2.00 ERA and 0.91 WHIP (walks+hits per inning pitched). He’s been even better away from Dodger Stadium, going 4-1 with a 1.24 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched on the road. Colorado has won three of the four meetings between these teams this season, and the L.A. money line is steep. However, there might be a little value in Colorado’s run line (+2.5, -120), as the Rockies could keep this close.

The total has gone under in each of Los Angeles’ last four games and in four of the last five for Colorado. The under is also 3-1 in the four meetings between these teams this season and is 9-3 in the last 12 between these teams overall. This is a very high total for having Kershaw on the mound, and the Dodgers offense has been up and down, as they got shut out in Coors Field yesterday. Take the under to hit once again here (U11, -110).
