MLB Betting: Marlins vs Cardinals & Dodgers vs Rockies – 6/27/2022

There are only three National League games on the slate on Monday. Two of them will feature the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Miami Marlins and the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the Colorado Rockies. This betting guide will give some insight into some of the better value plays based on trends in those two games.

Miami Marlins (+120) vs St. Louis Cardinals (-140)

This is the second series between these teams this season, and St. Louis won two of the first three games. However, the one loss came with Marlins starter Pablo Lopez on the mound, and Lopez gets the start Monday. In that 5-0 Marlins win back on April 21, Lopez struck out nine in seven shutout innings for the win. He goes against Adam Wainwright, who has struggled lately with a 5.50 ERA over his last three starts. Take the Marlins (+120) to pull off a slight upset here.

All three of the games between these teams this season have gone under the total. The under has also hit in seven of the last eight games between these teams in St. Louis. This series has been low scoring over the past couple of seasons, as the under is 15-4-2 in the last 21 meetings. Look for another low-scoring contest in this one, and take the under (U8, -115).

Los Angeles Dodgers (-195) vs Colorado Rockies (+160)

Dodgers starter Tyler Anderson is having a great season. Los Angeles has won nine of his last 10 starts, and he even flirted with a no-hitter a couple of weeks ago. Anderson is sporting an 8-0 record with an ERA of 3.00. Rockies starter Chad Kuhl has been better at home but has gotten zapped in his last three starts. He is 0-3 with a 6.91 ERA and 2.09 WHIP (walks+hits per inning pitched). Take the Dodgers (-195), and look at their run line (-1.5, -135), too.

The total has gone under in eight of the last 11 meetings between these teams, and in two of the three previous meetings this season. Colorado is coming off a six-game road trip and Anderson has been pretty tough to do a lot of damage against. Los Angeles might rack up some runs, but this is a pretty high total, even for Coors Field. Take the under (11.5, -105) in this one.
