MLB Betting: Dodgers vs Giants & Reds vs Cardinals – 06/12/2022

The St. Louis Cardinals look to win their third in a row against the Cincinnati Reds, and the San Francisco Giants are looking for their third straight victory against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers. This betting guide will give some of the best value play in these two games based on the recent trends amongst the teams.

Los Angeles Dodgers (-135) vs San Francisco Giants (+110)

The Giants have won the first two games of this series, holding the Dodgers to just two runs in each of the victories. Both starters – Julio Urias for the Dodgers and Carlos Rodon for San Fran – have been good lately, but don’t have much to show for it. Los Angeles has dropped five of Urias’ last six starts, while the Giants have lost six of Rodon’s last seven. The Dodgers bats can’t stay down for long, so take Los Angeles (-135) to bounce back in this one.

These teams have been in some low-scoring contests lately, and this should be another close one. The over has hit just once in Rodon’s last four starts, and just once in Urias’ last 10 starts. The under has hit or pushed in seven of the last nine meetings between these teams in San Francisco, and that trend should continue here. Look towards the under (U8.5, -115).

Cincinnati Reds (+155) vs St. Louis Cardinals (-190)

They needed a walk-off home run on Saturday, but the Cardinals’ back-to-back wins against the Reds have landed St. Louis in first place in the NL Central. There might not be any relief for Cincinnati today. The Reds are 0-6 in their last six games against a right-handed starter, and St. Louis starter Dakota Hudson has been great lately – allowing just two earned runs over his last 18.2 innings pitched. Take the Cardinals (-190) to complete the sweep.

Cincinnati starter Graham Ashcraft has also been stingy, giving up just three earned runs across his four starts this season. Hudson also sports an ERA of 1.35 at home, and the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these teams. The under (U8.5, -115) looks like the best play again in this one with the way these pitchers have been performing.
