Your daily betting guide for MLB action as the Toronto Blue Jays look to continue winning against the struggling Minnesota Twins, while the Tampa Bay Rays are in the same position against the Chicago White Sox.
Toronto Blue Jays (-200) vs Minnesota Twins (+170)
The Blue Jays have won eight games in a row and continue to dominate at home. They are now 17-8 and have finally been able to face some worse teams after a tough schedule to start the season. The Twins don’t fall into that category of bad teams, though, since they are still 30-23 despite losing four of the last five games in their most recent series to the Detroit Tigers and three in a row.
The Blue Jays have found their bats and have been manufacturing runs in every way throughout their lineup. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez have started to swing the bat like they can, while both of the Blue Jays catchers are making it so the other has to DH (designated hitter) every game. After sweeping the Los Angeles Angels and the White Sox, they look to keep that going against a struggling Twins. Take the Jays and over (O9.5, -110) since the Twins’ starter Chi Chi Gonzalez will be making his season debut.
Tampa Bay Rays (-200) vs Chicago White Sox (+170)
The White Sox continue their fall and are now three games under .500 after being swept by the Blue Jays. The Rays are battling for better positioning as it just so happens that the Blue Jays jumped them in the standings. The Rays have their ace back on the mound in Shane McClanahan so it won’t be easy for the White Sox to break any slumps offensively.
The Rays have a solid record at home of 17-11 and take a two-game win streak into this three-game series. They haven’t been able to put up a ton of runs, but like it has been for a while in Tampa Bay, they continue to get great pitching to help them win those close games. Only one of their past seven games has gone over seven runs, so take the under (U7, +100) for good value and bet the Rays to win this one.
