MLB Betting: Athletics vs Guardians & Red Sox vs Mariners – 06/11/2020

The Boston Red Sox look to win their sixth straight game against the Seattle Mariners, while the Cleveland Guardians aim to stay red hot against the struggling Oakland A’s. There’s a lot happening in the American League today, and this betting guide will give insight into the best value plays from those two games.

Boston Red Sox (+105) vs Seattle Mariners (-125)

Despite heading into their ninth game of a road trip, the Red Sox have won eight of their last nine. The pitchers have been carrying the load, giving up more than three runs just twice over that stretch. The pitchers are going to be doing it again on Saturday for Boston. Starter Michael Wacha is 4-1 with a 1.99 ERA. He hasn’t given up a run in his last two starts, and the Red Sox have won seven of his last eight appearances. Expect that trend to continue and take Boston (+105) here.

Wacha has been very sharp lately, throwing a complete game shutout with just three hits in his last time out. The over has hit just twice in his last nine outings. The Mariners are struggling to get much going at home lately, as well, with the under hitting in Seattle’s last five home games. The Red Sox pitchers have been sharp during this entire hot streak, and that should continue today. Take the under (U8.5, -115).

Oakland A’s (+105) vs Cleveland Guardians (-125)

The Guardians are 8-2 over their last 10 games, including wins in the first two games of this series. Oakland has lost 10 games in a row, and the A’s haven’t won a Frankie Montas start since April 18. They’re 0-9 over that stretch. Cleveland has also won all five meetings between these teams this season, including yesterday’s comeback victory. Starter Zach Plesac has looked very good over his last two starts, as well, so take the Guardians (-125) in this one.

Plesac allowed just three runs over 12 innings pitched in his last two starts, with both games going under. However, the A’s have been giving up a lot of runs during this losing streak. The under has hit just twice in their last eight games during the skid. The total seems a little bit two low in this spot. Take the over (O7.5, -110) in this one.
