MLB Betting: Angels vs Mets & Phillies vs Diamondbacks – 06/12/22

In today’s MLB betting guide, the Los Angeles Angels look to continue to rise out of their horrible slump against the New York Mets, while the Philadelphia Phillies aim to stay very hot vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Los Angeles Angels (-115) vs New York Mets (-105)

The Angels look to have come out of the slump that saw them lose 13 games in a row. The bats have started to come back as well as Mike Trout broke a very long hitless streak and added two home runs to his total in yesterday’s game. Though Patrick Sandoval, the Angels’ starter, has pitched very well for them this season, he gives up a bit too many walks. Fortunately, it doesn’t come back to bite him that often since he hasn’t allowed a home run to be hit off of him this season.

The Mets’ starting pitcher Taijuan Walker is no slump on the mound, but his number can and has been better. He has a very low strikeout rate and has lost two games in a row. The Angels were a dominant team when everything wasn’t going wrong for them. They look to get going once again and climb back into contention as the Mets look to stay atop the National League. Since the bats of the Angels have got going and they are confident, take them to win the series finale while also taking the over (O9, -110).

Philadelphia Phillies (-190) vs Arizona Diamondbacks (+155)

No matter who’s on the mound for the Phillies, it’s very hard to bet against them right now. They have won nine games in a row and have pulled themselves above .500. Their batting ranks at the top of the league with the best while they’re above average in pitching. The Diamondbacks are a good matchup since they’ve lost both games of this three-game series and are 3-7 in their past 10 games.

The dominant bats of the Phillies who have been very hot lately look to take advantage of the starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks, Kyle Nelson, who has just pitched 28 innings in the MLB in his career. He doesn’t have bad numbers at all in every regard, but the Phillies will be his toughest test yet. Ranger Suarez, the Phillies’ starter, will give up his fair share of hits and runs, but the Phillies should be able to compensate for that against a batting order who has struggled to get on base in recent weeks. Take the Phillies once again as you should ride them as long as possible while also taking the over (O9.5, -110).
